Privacy policy

Location

If you allow it, the browser reports your position to center the panel. It is used on your device to fetch the data for your area and is sent to the data sources (with up to 3 decimal places) only to get traffic, forecast and alerts for that spot. The site does not keep your position history.

Address search

When you search an address, the typed text is sent to the address search services Nominatim (OpenStreetMap) and Photon (Komoot, also with OpenStreetMap data) and, for Brazilian postal codes, to ViaCEP, only to find the coordinates. The site does not store the search.

Preferences

The instrument layout, units, limits, sound, theme and language you choose are saved only in your browser (local storage). To erase them, clear the site data in your browser.

Language

On the first visit, the site asks Cloudflare for the country of the access, derived from the IP address, only to choose the language (Portuguese in Brazil and English elsewhere). The country is not stored; the language choice stays only in your browser.

Air traffic

To show aircraft, the site queries open networks (adsb.lol, OpenSky Network and Open Glider Network) with a rounded area around the chosen position: about 20 km for adsb.lol and 50 km for OpenSky. The OpenSky query goes through a computer of the site's author, which connects to that network. It carries only this rounded area, with no address, name or device identification, and nothing is kept beyond a few minutes of response cache. In the USA, the forecast and alerts come from NOAA and the National Weather Service, queried with the rounded position.

Radio and YouTube videos

The COM RADIO widget may play live YouTube streams with the audio of air traffic control towers and centers, in the official YouTube player embedded in the page. To choose the streams, the site queries YouTube only with the codes of the aerodromes near you, without sending your position. When the player opens, YouTube (Google) may use cookies and collect usage data according to the Google privacy policy. If you do not want that, keep the radio off (RX or AUTO) or do not add this instrument.

Installed app

If you install Posso Voar? as an app, the browser keeps a copy of the pages, icons and aerodrome base on the device to open faster and offline. None of this is sent to the site. To erase it, uninstall the app or clear the site data.

Bluetooth

When you turn on Remote ID reading, the browser listens to broadcasts from nearby drones. The messages are read on your device and are not sent to any server.

Contact and form

The contact form does not send anything to this site: it only opens your WhatsApp or e-mail with the message ready. The data you send through those channels is used only to answer your request.

Advertising and cookies

This site may show Google AdSense ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

Cookies are small files kept by the browser. You can delete or block them in the browser settings; the panel keeps working without them.

Data the site does not collect

Posso Voar? has no sign-up, does not ask for your name or e-mail and does not store on a server your position, your layout or the messages of the contact form.

Your rights

Under Brazil's LGPD (and similar laws where you live) you can request access, correction or deletion of your data through the e-mail above. In Brazil you can also complain to the National Data Protection Authority (ANPD).
